Patches on your lawn?
The summer is here (sort of) and it's that time of the year when your dog burns those yellow patches in your lawn! You can do all sorts of things to counter this problem! Here are a few ideas of the products available.
M&C Green-Ums
Available in tablet and the most popular treat form. The amount of tablets given depends on the weight of your dog. The treats can be given as and when in moderation (although there are recommendations on the packet.) They both neutralise the urine, helping to prevent lawn burn.
Dog Rocks
A packet contains a natural rock that you put in the dogs water bowl. The water then helps to neutralise the dogs urine and prevent lawn burn. One packet will last about two months before you need to replace them.
Both are available at The Big Pet Store, and are natural so your dog doesn't have to have harmful chemicals to keep your lawn green!
Fly strike
With the hotter weather upon us, it means that your rabbits are prone to fly strike, which is when a fly lands on the rear of your rabbit and lays eggs! There is information on fly strike below, including ways to prevent and cure it (click on the pdf below to save a copy). As always we work with the rabbit welfare association to provide helpful information on anything bunny related! You can get to there site here to find out more!
We also have a selection of products to help prevent fly strike available from the store including 'fly guard' which you can put on the rabbit which will greatly help your chances of stopping fly strike.
